It has been almost 8 years since I moved to the United States, my husband tells me all the time that now I am "americanized". It's true that I have adjusted pretty well, but there is some habits and traditions that come from my beautiful country that I think will never die.
Every morning I have to have my mug full of caffe'latte...the so called "latte" if you go in whichever cafe'. Well, to be precise "latte" means just "milk", without coffee. The proper way to call the most delicious morning drink is Caffe' Latte. It's made with a part of very strong espresso coffee (made with a real espresso machine) and a part of milk.
Part of my breakfast is usually a few cookies to accompany and exalt the flavor of the coffee. Today I'm actually having a piece of ciambella. It's a cake that I learned from my Nonna Carla, I always think of her when I make it. Yesterday I was helped by my children, they poured all the ingredients and we mixed them all together; it came out better than usual.
I can now start my day with energy and confidence that with the help of God everything will go perfect, according to His will.
